Anger within Asencio's camp over medical staff at Real Madrid

Spanish newspaper "Marca" has revealed a state of anger within Raúl Asencio's camp towards the medical services at Real Madrid, due to the delay in making a decision regarding the young defender undergoing surgery to treat the injury he has suffered from over the past months.

According to the report, those close to Asencio believe the decision to allow surgery came far too late and at the worst possible time for the player, especially since his problem began last January, while surgical intervention was only sought long after a prolonged period of treatment.

Marca reported that Real Madrid's medical staff initially chose to follow a minimally invasive treatment, but this option did not achieve the desired results, leading to the player's ongoing struggle with the injury.

During the summer, Asensio wanted to undergo surgery to permanently resolve the issue, but the club's medical staff deemed the timing unsuitable for surgery. Instead, it was agreed to rest the player and subject him to a rehabilitation program.

However, the second plan did not achieve the desired success either, before Raúl Asencio's struggles renewed and he suffered a setback in August, prompting Real Madrid's medical staff to finally give the green light for surgery.

Real Madrid have announced that Raúl Asencio has undergone surgery due to a stress fracture in his right leg, which will keep him out of action for up to 3 months.

Asensio is feeling greatly affected by the timing of the surgery, especially since he was hoping for opportunities to participate with the first team during this period and prove his abilities to coach José Mourinho. However, the injury and surgery will reduce his chances of competing for a place in the team's lineup.

The player believes, according to the report, that he was able to take advantage of the opportunities that would have been available to convince Mourinho of his abilities, especially with the absences affecting the defence of Real Madrid, which makes the timing of the injury and surgery more difficult for him.
