Alexander Sørloth is nearing a return to Atlético training after taking another step in his recovery from injury during the team's session on Wednesday.

According to "Mundo Deportivo", Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth is still training individually, but he has started working on the pitch at a good pace. He has been training alongside rehabilitation specialist Óscar Petías, touching the ball and undergoing drills to change speeds, as well as speed and running exercises.

Alexander Sørloth is expected to train with his teammates in some sessions next week after being absent for about a month and a half. Atlético announced on August 12 that the player had suffered a muscle strain, and a setback has extended his absence, causing him to miss all of the team's matches this season.

Due to Alexander Sørloth's absence from pre-season preparations, his return to training and matches will be gradual, although he is close to rejoining the squad.

Atlético's training also saw Pablo Barrios participate normally, boosting his chances of being ready for the match against Alavés on Saturday, October 10, while 17 international players were absent from the team's training due to their commitments with their national teams.
