Bounou: Match against Lesotho was tough despite Morocco's victory

Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper of the Moroccan national team, confirmed that facing Lesotho was not easy, despite the Atlas Lions' superiority and their win by two goals to nil in the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.

Yassine Bounou said in television statements after the end of the match: "We handled the match well, and the players delivered a great performance. It was not an easy match, even though the opponent was not at the level of the Moroccan national team."

Morocco's goalkeeper explained that playing away from home increased the difficulty of the match, noting that the pitch did not help the players perform at their best.

He added: "When you play on their ground, things are always difficult, especially the pitch which does not help, but the players played with great focus, and I congratulate them."
