Egypt thrash South Sudan 5-0 in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Egypt's national team succeeded in overcoming their South Sudan counterparts with a crushing scoreline of 5-0 in the match played today, Tuesday, at Juba Stadium as part of the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers.

The goals for Egypt were scored by Mostafa Ziko in the 36th minute, Omar Marmoush in the 49th minute, Ibrahim Adel in the 75th minute, Omar Marmoush again in the 83rd minute, and Hamza Abdelkarim in the 90+2 minute.

With this result, Egypt's national team rises to 4 points at the top of the Group B standings in the qualifiers, while South Sudan has no points and is in fourth and last place.

Egypt drew 0-0 against Angola in the first round of the qualifiers last Friday.
