Militão continues to edge closer to return for Real Madrid
Éder Militão, the defender for Real Madrid, has taken further steps in his recovery from injury, having rejoined the team's collective training in the city of Real Madrid during the closed training session held by the club today, Tuesday.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Éder Militão participated in training alongside Raúl Asencio, Álvaro Carreras, Antonio Rüdiger, and Aurélien Tchouaméni, as well as goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin, while Real Madrid called upon a group of academy players to complete the session.
The training session began with activation exercises and passing drills, followed by possession training and a small-sided match. Meanwhile, Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy continued their recovery programmes, training with the ball on the pitch, while Fede Valverde is still recovering from his left ankle injury.
Several Real Madrid players continue to represent their national teams during the international break. However, Ibrahima Konaté and Kylian Mbappé have joined the list of injured players during this period.
Real Madrid are set to return to action on Saturday, October 10, when they host Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in LaLiga. The team currently sits in fourth place, six points behind leaders FC Barcelona.
