Sami Al-Jaber comments on the attack against Abdullah Al-Hamdan

Sami Al-Jaber, the former star of Saudi Arabia, has defended Abdullah Al-Hamdan in light of the criticism and attacks the player has faced recently, coinciding with his absence from the starting lineup.

Al-Jaber stated in television remarks during the program "Nadina": "When we played, we received criticism and insults, and even on social media after retirement, there are some people who harbor malice in their hearts."

The star of Saudi Arabia football added: "Abdullah Al-Hamdan is a talented and hardworking player, and he must believe in himself and his abilities. It is normal to miss chances, but abuse and insults are unacceptable."

Feras Al-Buraikan started for Saudi Arabia against Oman, while Abdullah Al-Hamdan was on the bench during the two teams' clash in the second round of the group stage of Gulf Cup 27.

Saudi Arabia secured a victory with three goals against Oman, continuing their journey in the Gulf Cup 27, amidst strong competition for the top spot in the group, thanks to the impressive performances of several of their players.
