Real Madrid reject Tchouaméni's departure amid Liverpool interest

Liverpool continue to pursue a deal for Aurélien Tchouaméni, the Real Madrid midfielder, as Julian Ward, the sporting director returning to Anfield, aims for a fresh attempt to sign the French player. However, the stance of the Spanish club makes the transfer difficult.

TEAMtalk has reported that Aurélien Tchouaméni is still among Liverpool's targets, having previously been pursued by the English club in 2022 before the player moved to Real Madrid from AS Monaco.

The same source clarified that Liverpool will need to pay a hefty sum to convince Real Madrid to part with Aurélien Tchouaméni, especially after he signed a new contract extending until 2031, in addition to being an important player in José Mourinho's plans, with his ability to also play as a centre-back.

The report indicated that Aurélien Tchouaméni is viewed within Liverpool as an option to bolster the defensive midfield position, but Real Madrid do not wish to part with him, making a transfer to Anfield unlikely in the near future.
