Three Saudi national team players face absence against Iraq in Gulf Cup 27

Concerns for the Saudi Arabia national team have increased ahead of their match against Iraq in the final group stage of the Gulf Cup 27, as injuries to three players have raised doubts about their readiness for the crucial game.

Alaa Hejji is set to be a major absentee for the match after suffering an injury against Iraq, with difficulties in him being able to join the encounter, and the possibility of him leaving the Saudi Arabia camp.

Hassan Kadesh is also in doubt after suffering an injury during the Oman match, leaving the pitch to undergo tests and a medical evaluation to determine his ability to participate against Iraq.

Saudi Arabia's defence has taken another hit with Hassan Tambakti's injury during the same match. He is undergoing further tests to determine his status, although he confirmed after the game that the injury is minor.

Saudi Arabia faces Iraq on Tuesday evening in the final round, having secured their place in the semi-finals while looking to clinch top spot in Group A.
