Koundé reassesses his future with FC Barcelona

Jules Koundé is reconsidering his future with FC Barcelona after losing his starting spot at the beginning of the current season, despite knowing before the season started that his role would not be a permanent one. The club was open to his departure last summer, but the French defender decided to stay and compete.

According to "Sport", Jules Koundé has started only two out of eight official matches, as Erik García has become the first-choice right-back, while Hans Flick relies on João Cancelo and Espart on the left side.

With Andreas Christensen injured, Koundé has received another chance to return to the lineup, but he knows his position will be difficult if he does not take advantage of it. At the same time, the French defender remains a key player for his national team, despite sitting on the bench with FC Barcelona.

Jules Koundé has a strong market, with interest from big clubs in the Premier League, alongside his link to Bayern Munich last summer.

At FC Barcelona, the club would not oppose Jules Koundé's departure if a suitable offer arrives, potentially exceeding €50 million, in addition to saving his salary. However, the club is handling the situation calmly at the moment.
