Saudi Arabia thrashes Oman 3-0 in the Gulf Cup

Saudi Arabia secured their place in the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Gulf 27' after defeating Oman by three goals to nil in the second round at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah.

Saudi Arabia imposed their superiority early on, with Feras Al-Buraikan opening the scoring in the 11th minute, before Hassan Kadesh added the second goal in the 18th minute, amidst clear Saudi control.

Feras Al-Buraikan completed his hat-trick in the 34th minute, having scored his second goal of the match, while the referee disallowed a goal for Iraq scored by Nasser Al-Rawahi in the 36th minute for offside.

The Saudi national team has raised its tally to 6 points at the top of Group A, having achieved two consecutive victories against Kuwait and Oman, ensuring its official passage to the semi-finals.

Iraq sits second in the group with 4 points, while Oman has 1 point and Kuwait has exited the tournament with no points. The Green will face Iraq on Tuesday, September 29, to determine the group leader.
