Vega talks about facing Haaland: There are more important things in life that keep me awake

Renato Veiga, defender for the Portugal national team, has confirmed that facing Norwegian striker Erling Haaland will not be a concern for him ahead of the anticipated clash between the two national teams in the second round of Group D in the UEFA Nations League.

Vega said about Haaland and the Norway national team: "We know he is a top-class striker, but they have many strengths. They are a very dynamic team and play directly."

The Portuguese defender added: "No one here diminishes the respect for anyone. Haaland is a top-class striker, but Norway also has top-class players. We have to trust in our work and our abilities. There are more important things in life that keep me awake, without diminishing the respect for anyone."

Vega, 23, addressed his status within the Portugal national team, rejecting the label of an indispensable starter, stating: "I work every day to give my best. No one is untouchable. My focus is on my daily development and giving my best for myself, my family, and my country."
