Bayern Munich plans to sign Thomas Araújo

Bayern Munich are continuing to monitor Portuguese defender Thomas Araújo of SL Benfica and the Portugal national team, with plans to move for his signing in 2027, according to new information from Germany.

According to Christian Falk, the transfer news journalist for "Bild", Bayern Munich are interested in signing Araujo, but they are linking the possibility of making an official move to first offloading one of the team's defenders in the upcoming period.

Falk explained during his participation in the "Bayern Insider" program that the Bavarian club values the abilities of the Portuguese defender and may be prepared to make a bid of around €30 million to sign him.

Despite this, Araújo is not a priority for Bayern Munich at the moment, as the team has a large number of defenders, making the departure of one of the backline players a necessary step before seriously pursuing a defender from SL Benfica.
