Mihajlović on leaving Juventus: I want to forget those years

Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic, a player for Leeds United, spoke about his time at Juventus, confirming that he did not get a chance with the first team despite his development at the club.

Marhamovic stated in comments reported by "Giuliano Di Marzio": "Why didn't we get a chance? This was not in my hands, they had better ideas and they knew the reason. Now I am very happy to be here at Leeds United and in the Premier League, not somewhere else. My focus is here and I just want to forget those early years."

The Bosnian defender added: "I thank US Sassuolo and I am very grateful for what they have done for me. I am at Leeds United to prove who I am, and I also thank Giorgio Chiellini, Nemanja Matić, and Leonardo Bonucci."

Mihajlovic has spent several years in Italy, moving through the ranks at Juventus before transferring to US Sassuolo, where he made a notable impact, eventually earning a move to Leeds United for €37 million. Despite his development at Juventus, he did not play any matches for the first team, a path that closely resembles the experience of Dutch player Jurriën Timber.

Mihajlović also talked about the role Bonucci and Chiellini played in his development, saying: "I spent five years in Italy, and everyone knows that this country specializes in tactics and the defensive side. From a tactical standpoint, Italy is the best place to grow. I learned a lot on the defensive level during my years at Juventus and US Sassuolo, and I was lucky to meet players who helped me a lot, led by Bonucci and Chiellini."
