Mido urges Hossam Hassan to apologise after Salah leaves national team camp

Ahmed Hossam Mido has urged Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egypt national football team, to apologize as soon as possible after Mohamed Salah decided to leave the ongoing national team camp.

The Egyptian Football Association has clarified that the coaching staff of the national team, led by Hossam Hassan, decided to rest Mohamed Salah and not to play him during the match against South Sudan, due to the game being held on a "tartan" pitch.

Mido wrote on his account on "X": "The departure of Mohamed Salah from the national team camp under the current circumstances is a disaster by all standards!! For the captain to leave the camp under these circumstances is an indication that there is chaos in the national team's camp."

He added: "For me as a football man, I assure you that things have gotten out of hand and intervention from the responsible gentlemen is necessary.. the Egypt national team is not a toy in anyone's hands.. Captain Hossam's official apology for his statements has become an urgent necessity as soon as possible!!".
