Wahbi reveals details of Díaz's injury and his status for the match against Lesotho

Morocco coach Mohamed Wahbi has provided an update on the health status of international Brahim Díaz following the victory over Gabon by two goals to nil in the first round of Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.

Wahbi explained during the press conference that followed the match that Díaz is suffering from a minor injury that prevented him from participating against Gabon, confirming that the medical tests the player underwent, including an MRI, showed that the injury is not serious.

The Moroccan coach stated that Brahim Díaz joined the national team camp feeling some pain before undergoing necessary medical examinations to assess the nature of his injury and determine its severity.

Wahbi pointed out that the Moroccan national team player has shown a strong desire to stay with the group and continue working with his teammates, hoping to regain his fitness and participate in the upcoming match against Lesotho in South Africa.

Brahim Díaz is set to continue his rehabilitation program under the supervision of the Moroccan national team's medical staff, with an additional assessment planned in the coming period to determine his final status and whether he will be able to participate against Lesotho.
