Real Madrid sets first signing for 2027

It seems that Real Madrid are planning to bring back their former defender Jacobo Ramón to their ranks in the summer of 2027, making him the club's first signing of the new season, according to TEAMtalk, despite the club's links with a potential move for Erling Haaland.

Graeme Bailey, the transfer market journalist at "TEAMtalk", previously indicated Real Madrid's interest in signing Haaland in the summer of 2027, with interest also from the Norwegian striker from FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Jacobo Ramón progressed through the Real Madrid academy and made 6 appearances for the first team, scoring one goal, before moving to Como in the summer of 2025 for less than €3 million. Real Madrid retains 50% of the player's resale value, along with options to buy him back.

The same source indicated that Real Madrid intends to activate the buy-back option for Jacobo Ramón in the summer of 2027 for €10 million, with the possibility that the defender could replace Antonio Rüdiger, who is expected to retire at the end of the season, provided that the player maintains his level in Italy.

Jacobo Ramón has discussed his future in statements reported by "Mundo Deportivo", confirming his focus on his current experience with Como. He said: "I am very happy at Como, and all I think about is giving my best this season, achieving many victories and going as far as possible."

Regarding the possibility of returning to Real Madrid, the defender explained that the competition there is fierce, saying: "At Real Madrid, you have the best players in the world, and you are not easily granted playing minutes." However, he pointed out that the club has given many players the opportunity to feature with the first team, affirming his confidence that this will continue.
