Officially.. Mohamed Salah to miss match against South Sudan

Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Egypt national team, will miss the Pharaohs' match against South Sudan, scheduled for September 29, as part of the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Egyptian Football Association has announced that the national team's coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, has decided to rest Mohamed Salah and not include him in the match against South Sudan due to the game being played on a "tartan" pitch.

The Egyptian Football Association stated: "The coaching staff of the Egypt national football team, led by Hossam Hassan, has decided to rest Mohamed Salah from the match against South Sudan scheduled for September 29, due to the "tartan" pitch of the match."

The statement added: "An agreement was reached between the coaching staff of the national team and Mohamed Salah before the match against Angola not to play in the match against South Sudan, as the coaching staff preferred this to protect the player."

Mohamed Salah will not be available for Egypt's match against South Sudan. The Pharaohs are set to prepare for a Friendly against South Africa on October 4, as part of their preparations for upcoming challenges.
