Ikrami: Al Ahly's statement is a refinement and reform for Hossam Hassan

Ikrami El-Shahat, former goalkeeper of Al Ahly FC, commented on the club's statement against Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egypt national team, regarding his remarks about Mohamed El-Shenawy, the goalkeeper of the red team.

Ikrami Al-Shahat stated during his appearance on MBC Masr: "I hope the statement is understood correctly, as it serves as a refinement and correction for Hossam Hassan after what he said in the press conference."

He added: "Hossam Hassan should not insult the captain of Al Ahly FC and the Egypt national team, and what happened is considered a misstep by the coach."

He added: "There is something called comforting hearts, and when I do something for someone, I should not boast about what I have done. The good you offer should not be spoken of in this way."

The goalless draw was the result of Egypt's match against Angola on Friday evening at Cairo International Stadium, in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.
