Zirkzee called up to Netherlands squad to replace Brobbey

The Netherlands national team has called up Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee to join the squad during the international break, replacing the injured Brian Brobbey.

Brian Brobbey has suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of the Netherlands' 1-1 draw with Germany, forcing him to leave the national team camp and putting him out of coach Xavi's plans for the near future.

Joshua Zirkzee's call-up comes despite not having started any matches in the Premier League with Manchester United this season, as the team's forward has mostly remained among the substitutes since the start of the season.

The Dutch Football Association announced via its official account: "We wish Brian a speedy recovery. Joshua Zirkzee replaces the striker in our national team squad."

Zirkzee will join the Netherlands national team camp in preparation for upcoming challenges in the UEFA Nations League, after receiving another opportunity to prove himself on the international stage.
