Gakpo talks about the hardest summer of his life after losing his child

Cody Gakpo, Liverpool's forward, spoke about the difficult period he experienced last summer, which involved personal and family struggles alongside uncertainty regarding his future in football.

Gakpo said: "It was a difficult summer for me and my family, and everything surrounding football and life. So, yes, I let things take their course, and it ended the way it ended."

Gakpo added that some things are beyond control, emphasizing that he chose to focus on what he can control, saying: "I just want to enjoy my life with my family and friends, and my life in football with my teammates in the national team and Liverpool."
