De Ketelaere: I spoke with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer

Belgian Charles De Ketelaere, a player for Atalanta, revealed that he entered discussions with Paris Saint-Germain during the last summer transfer window, before the French club decided to sign Spanish Ferran Torres instead.

The player stated in comments reported by "DH" via "Foot Mercato": "I spoke with Paris Saint-Germain, but they ultimately chose Ferran Torres."

According to the report, Atalanta were asking for around €50 million for the Belgian player, but the deal did not go through, allowing the young player to continue his journey with the Italian team.

The player confirmed at the same time his happiness in Bergamo, but he did not hide his ambition to move in the future to a club capable of competing for the biggest titles, leaving the door open for the possibility of experiencing a new challenge in his career in the coming years.

Ferran Torres has joined Paris Saint-Germain this summer for €48 million, and he is having a strong start to the season, having played 6 matches and scored goals.
