Huijsen: I take responsibility for the derby loss

Dean Huijsen, Real Madrid's defender, has taken responsibility for his team's loss against Atlético in the capital derby, stating that the mistake falls on him, despite believing that Real Madrid was capable of winning the match.

Dean Huijsen stated in remarks to "OK Diario": "In my opinion, the loss of the Madrid derby falls on me. It is my responsibility."

The young defender added: "We could have won the match," referring to his feeling that Real Madrid was capable of achieving a different result despite the defeat.

Dean Huijsen also addressed the refereeing decisions that sparked controversy during the match, especially after he received a red card, saying: "If what happened against Atlético had happened in the opposite way... there would definitely have been a big uproar."
