Xavi: We were better than Germany today, showing our character and ambition

Xavi, the head coach of the Netherlands national team, expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance during the 1-1 draw against Germany, confirming that his players delivered a good level, especially in the second half, and showcased their style of play.

Xavi said: "I am satisfied because we played very well, honestly, we were better than Germany today, we deserved more, especially in the second half, which was very good, I am very happy that we showed our style of play."

The Netherlands coach spoke about the players who made their debut for the national team, praising the character and ambition they displayed. He said: "I am very happy with the players who stepped onto the pitch, especially the players who have never played for the national team before, Mexx Meerdink and Ruud van Bommel showed character, ambition, and desire, this is what we want, the second half is the way we should play."

Xavi addressed the injury of Brian Brobbey, who left the match in the first half, confirming that the coaching staff will have to call up another striker. He said: "Brian is unfortunately injured, and we will call up another striker."

The Netherlands equalised against Germany in the 92nd minute through Cody Gakpo, following a brilliant pass from Van Bommel.
