Manchester United clarify stance on signing Calvert-Lewin

Manchester United have made a decision regarding the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Leeds United forward, during the winter transfer window, after the player's name was linked with the club in recent times.

Manchester United previously rejected the chance to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who joined Leeds for free in 2025. He then delivered strong performances with the team, scoring 17 goals in 39 Premier League matches, while his total goal tally with clubs reached 103 goals.

TEAMtalk reports that Leeds are feeling comfortable about Dominic Calvert-Lewin's future and are planning to open negotiations regarding the renewal of his contract, which runs until 2028, especially as the player is settled at Elland Road and enjoying his time with the team.

Meanwhile, Football Insider has confirmed that Manchester United do not intend to sign a striker in January or during the upcoming period, despite the possibility of the club looking for a new forward to compete with Benjamin Šeško.
