Diego Dime retires from football at age 34

The German Diego Deme has announced his retirement from football at the age of 34, bringing an end to a long career, with his most notable moments coming with SSC Napoli and RB Leipzig.

Dima, born in Germany to a father from Calabria, began his career with Armenia Bielefeld before moving to Paderborn, and then to RB Leipzig, where he spent six seasons. In January 2020, he transferred to SSC Napoli, representing the team until 2024.

The midfielder has concluded his career with Hertha Berlin, where he spent the last two seasons before deciding to end his professional career.
