Gazelle crashes through his car window: Polish player dies at 20 in tragic accident

Polish footballer Oscar Kordus has died at the age of 20 following a tragic car accident on Monday morning on the ring road of Gostyn, western Poland.

Kordus, a defender for Kania Gostyń, who plays in the fourth tier of Polish football, was driving his BMW when another car collided with a deer crossing the road. The impact was so severe that the deer was propelled through the windshield of Kordus's car coming from the opposite direction, striking him directly in the face.

When rescue teams arrived at the scene of the accident, the player had no vital signs, prompting firefighters to begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and they managed to restore a pulse. Kordus was transported by medical helicopter to a hospital in Poland, but he passed away later that same evening, around 10:30 PM, due to his injuries.

Kordus has joined Kania Gostyń this summer from Korona Kielce, having previously played in the youth teams of Zagłębie Lubin and Warta Poznań. The club mourned the loss of their player, expressing their heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, wishing him mercy and peace.
