Klopp prepares for first appearance with Germany: I haven't had time to feel nervous

Jürgen Klopp is set to take charge of his first match as head coach of Germany, facing the Netherlands tomorrow in Amsterdam, as part of the UEFA Nations League. This match will also mark the debut of Xavi as the coach of the Netherlands.

Klopp spoke at the press conference on the eve of the match about his feelings ahead of this start, saying: "Do I feel nervous before the first appearance? I haven't had time to feel that over the last three days." The German coach confirmed that his focus is on leveraging the individual abilities of the players through teamwork.

Klopp added: "We have exceptional talents. All the players have often exceeded expectations with their clubs, but when was the last time that happened with the national team? We are trying to find a way to achieve success together, and if we succeed in that, we can create moments where we surpass ourselves."

Former Liverpool manager rejected the notion that players are not interested in delivering their best performances for the national team, stating: "Believe me, they care a lot, as the national team means everything to them."

Klopp is expected to rely on goalkeeper Marc André ter Stegen as a starter against the Netherlands, having called him back into the Germany squad. The match will be special for the German goalkeeper, who previously played under Xavi at Barcelona, as he said about the encounter: "It will be very special. Xavi is a very important person in my life, and we have a very good relationship."
