Trabzonspor issues strong statement regarding Mohamed Salah

Trabzonspor have officially moved to defend the commercial and promotional rights of Mohamed Salah, the star of the team. The club issued a statement regarding the unauthorized use of the name and images of the Egyptian star, confirming that there have been unacceptable violations of commercial rights.

Mohamed Salah is in great form after leading Trabzonspor to a four-goal victory over Galatasaray, scoring a remarkable hat-trick.

Trabzonspor stated: "The transfer of Salah to our club has generated great excitement in the sports community and around the world; however, we have noticed that after this transfer, some commercial entities have started launching advertisements and promotional campaigns using Salah's images, name, and the club's shirt."

The club clarified that Mohamed Salah's playing for Trabzonspor does not grant other parties the right to use his name and images for commercial purposes.

He added: "Using images of Mohamed Salah to promote products and services, or creating the impression among the public of a commercial partnership or official sponsorship, or achieving commercial gains based on the brand of Trabzonspor and its moral value, are matters that are legally unacceptable."

It was pointed out that such practices may violate not only the player's rights related to their personality and image, but also the club's brand rights, its commercial reputation, and its economic assets.

Accordingly, Trabzonspor's management has announced that it is currently documenting those advertisements and commercial uses that violate the rights of Mohamed Salah and the club.

Trabzonspor has issued a statement: "We announce to the public that legal and judicial actions will be taken regarding the violations that have been observed.. The love of football and support do not justify the unauthorized use of legally protected rights for commercial purposes."
