Successful surgery for Amr El Gazar of Al Ahly FC in Germany

Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, head of the medical staff at Al Ahly FC, announced the successful surgery performed on Amr El Gazar, the first team football player, in Germany.

Amr El Gazar sustained a tear in his anterior cruciate ligament and a tear in the meniscus during the team's match against El Mokawloon SC in the league, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

According to the official site of Al Ahly FC, the surgery is an arthroscopic procedure to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee and stitch the meniscus, under the supervision of German expert Christian Prall, at a hospital in Munich.

The statement added: "The player is scheduled to return to Cairo alongside Dr. Ahmed Gaballah next Friday, to undergo the first phase of rehabilitation."
