Juventus fined due to fan behaviour

Serie A has fined Juventus €10,000 due to the behavior of some of its fans during the minute of silence before the match against Atalanta, honoring the legend of Inter and the Italian national team Sandro Mazzola, who passed away at the age of 83.

During the minute of silence, a group of Juventus fans in the southern stand turned their backs to the pitch and chanted in memory of the club's departed legends, while the rest of the attendees applauded in respect for Mazzola.

Juventus has issued an official statement following the incident, confirming that no competition can justify a lack of respect during the minute of silence, emphasizing that honoring the deceased is a responsibility that transcends affiliations and colors.

A financial penalty was imposed instead of closing the stand, after the sports judge took into account the club's swift and official stance rejecting the actions of some fans, in addition to the fact that the majority of those present showed respect during the minute of silence.
