Competitions committee announces match observers for Gulf 27

The Gulf Football Federation's Competitions Committee held a meeting in Jeddah, chaired by Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Muqrin, to finalize preparations for the launch of 'Arabian Gulf 27' in Saudi Arabia.

The tournament will take place from September 23 to October 6, 2026, featuring eight national teams competing in 15 matches, with organizational arrangements aimed at ensuring smooth competitions and adherence to regulations.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Hizam Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the Committee, and committee members Ahmed Mohmed Al Harami, Qutaiba Al Ghilani, Rashid Al Zaabi, Mohamed Farhan Obaid, Ayman Al Hosseini, and Hussam Al Sunbani.

Hamid Al-Manaei, the Director of Competitions at the Gulf Football Association, and Mohamed Al-Khamisi, the committee's rapporteur, participated in discussions regarding various files related to the tournament and its organizational and technical arrangements.

The committee discussed match programs and competition management plans, alongside training schedules for the national teams and dates for using the approved training pitches, in line with the official program for 'Gulf 27'.

The Competitions Committee has appointed match observers from the opening match through to the semi-finals, as part of its responsibilities to monitor the competitions and ensure the application of the approved procedures and regulations.

The committee has approved daily morning meetings throughout the tournament to review match reports and monitor organizational and operational observations, taking necessary actions in accordance with the applicable regulations and rules.

Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Muqrin stated that the meeting focused on key files, including match arrangements, training schedules for the national teams, observer appointments, and the daily follow-up mechanism for reports.
