Omar Al Ali appointed referee for Iraq vs Oman clash

The UAE international referee Omar Mohamed Al Ali has been appointed to officiate the match between Iraq and Oman in the opening of both teams' campaign in Group A of Gulf Cup 27 in Saudi Arabia.

The two teams are preparing for an anticipated clash in the Gulf Cup, seeking a strong start in the tournament currently hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Omar Mohamed Al Ali will officiate the match, assisted by Mohamed Ahmed Al Hamadi as first assistant and Jassim Al Ali as second assistant within the Emirati crew.

The committee has appointed Mohamed Ebeid to oversee the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, completing the Emirati officiating team for the upcoming match between Iraq and Oman.

The match is part of Group A in the Gulf Cup 27, which includes Iraq, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, amid strong competition for the two qualification spots for the next round.

All eyes will be on Omar Al Ali's whistle as the match kicks off, in a new refereeing test within the Gulf Championship, which features the participation of eight teams and is being held in Saudi Arabia.
