AS reveals reason for Brahim Díaz's reduced participation with Real Madrid
Moroccan international Brahim Díaz continues to be considered by Real Madrid, but physical struggles are clearly affecting his participation lately, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
The newspaper revealed that Díaz has been suffering from severe muscle pain for several matches, which explains his reduced presence with the team, despite being considered by the Portuguese coach José Mourinho.
AS reported that Moroccan player Brahim Díaz was feeling these troubles during the match against Inter as well, but he chose to continue playing and remain available for the team. Since that match, Díaz has only participated for 22 minutes in three games, having missed the match against Rayo Vallecano, before coming on as a substitute against Elche in the 68th minute, while he remained on the bench during the match against Atlético.
Despite his physical condition, Díaz impressed against Inter in the Champions League, providing an assist for his teammate Kylian Mbappé, and he also created another dangerous chance for Jude Bellingham. The Moroccan international managed to create four chances during the match, including three clear-cut opportunities, while also completing 15 successful passes in the final third.
Díaz also showed great effectiveness in individual duels, successfully completing both of his attempted dribbles and winning five out of nine duels, while reaching a top speed of nearly 32 kilometers per hour, with a passing success rate of 93%.
According to the Spanish newspaper, Díaz's muscle struggles are not new, as they have been with him for several matches, impacting his ability to participate regularly. Nevertheless, the player continues to give his utmost effort to serve Real Madrid, while Mourinho is aware of the extent of the effort he is putting in.
Amid strong competition for places within the Real Madrid squad, AS emphasized that Díaz has not considered leaving the club, and the management has not asked him to seek a new destination, allowing him to continue working on regaining his full physical fitness and competing once again for a starting role among José Mourinho's options.
