Release clause value in Marc Bernal's new contract

Marc Bernal is close to extending his contract with FC Barcelona until 2031, after sporting director Deco announced that an agreement regarding the midfielder's continuation with the Catalan club is near.

According to what was reported by "Mundo Deportivo", Bernal will sign a new contract extending for two additional seasons, keeping him linked to FC Barcelona until 2031, unless changes occur in the coming days before the contract procedures are completed.

One of the main points of the new contract is to maintain the release clause value at €500 million, which is the same amount as in his current contract. According to sources from within FC Barcelona, the club does not see the need to increase the amount, given its confidence in the player's abilities.

Marc Bernal progressed through the La Masia academy and began to take on a larger role with the team since last season. He has maintained his presence during the 2026/2027 season despite the signing of Rodri, who is a regular starter.
