Gordon and Adeyemi: A camaraderie that surpasses competition at FC Barcelona

Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi are competing for the third spot in FC Barcelona's attack, with Hans Flick relying primarily on Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. However, the competition between the players has a spirit of camaraderie rather than being a fierce battle for the position.

The newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" highlighted a moment shared between the duo during the match between FC Barcelona and Sevilla last Saturday, when Adeyemi noticed Gordon's morale after a performance that did not go as expected. He approached him during the warm-up, handed him a water bottle, and spoke with him, encouraging him to keep trying before the game resumed.

Gordon was unable to change the course of his performance, despite Flick introducing him for a few minutes in the striker position after Adeyemi came on in the 76th minute, before leaving the pitch in the 85th minute in favor of Gabriel Jesus.

The good relationship between the players was evident after the 5-0 victory over Elche, when Anthony Gordon came on as a substitute for Karim Adeyemi, who scored a goal, and the Englishman provided two assists.

Gordon said after the match: "I want to congratulate Karim, he had a great game, scored his first goal, and worked really hard defensively to stop the transitions, I am very happy for him."
