Fury inside Real Madrid after derby: they completely ruined the match

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Real Madrid players saw that refereeing errors extended throughout the minutes of the match, starting from two strong challenges by Álex Baena against Arda Güler in the early minutes, up to the most controversial intervention when VAR referee Trujillo Suárez did not call on referee Ortiz Arias to review the incident of Kang In Lee's challenge on Federico Valverde.

This incident has caused significant anger within the Real Madrid dressing room, especially since Fede Valverde had previously been sent off in the derby last March after a less forceful challenge on Álex Baena, according to the report.

According to "AS", the atmosphere of anger inside the dressing room has reached the point of hearing harsh phrases from some Real Madrid players, including: "They completely ruined the match for us! They gave us a cowardly referee!".

Due to the intense tension that engulfed the team after the end of the match, Real Madrid made the decision not to allow any player to speak to the media, fearing that angry statements could lead to disciplinary action against one of the players.

Tension escalated off the pitch as Antonio Rüdiger and Hjulmand clashed in the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms, before matters developed into red cards being shown to Atlético goalkeeper coach Pablo Versilioni and one of José Mourinho's assistants, Pedro Machado.

The incident involving Kang-in Lee's non-red card sparked a confrontation, leading referee Ortiz Arias to issue red cards to members of both coaching staffs to regain control of the situation. Eventually, things calmed down, with Machado taking the initiative to apologize to Holmand.

The anger of Real Madrid players extends to refereeing decisions witnessed in other matches this season, as a group of team members believe that some decisions have impacted the competition in the league table. They cite the disallowed goal for CA Osasuna against Atlético, the penalty awarded to Atlético in San Sebastián, as well as the penalty that Lamine Yamal received in FC Barcelona's match against Levante.
