O'Hara criticises Tottenham's signings and slams Marmoush after disastrous start

Former Tottenham star Jamie O'Hara has launched a fierce attack on his old club following their troubled start in the Premier League, warning that continued results and current performances could put the club in a relegation battle.

Tottenham suffered another defeat against Aston Villa, losing 3-2 on Saturday evening, after failing to secure any victory in their first 5 matches in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham looked set for a heavy defeat after falling behind by three goals to nil, before they rallied in the closing minutes to score two goals. However, they were unable to equalise, continuing their points drop since the start of the season.

During his appearance on TalkSPORT, O'Hara expressed his anger at the level the team has shown, questioning the reasons for the decline despite significant spending to strengthen the squad during the transfer window.

Former Tottenham star said: "I can't believe how poor our level is, what has happened to this club?".

O'Hara has directly criticized some new signings, saying: "Tonali for £100 million, and Savio looks like he's playing children's football."

The comments also touched on Egyptian Omar Marmoush, who has recently joined Tottenham, with strong criticism directed at the player, stating: "Who is Omar Marmoush? Did we sign his brother? He is very bad."

O'Hara's criticisms did not stop at the players, as he attacked the team's overall shape, adding: "We don't have a midfield, there is no fighting spirit in the team, there is no desire, the players move as if everything is normal."

Former Tottenham star also spoke about the team's position in the Premier League table, warning of the possibility of entering a relegation battle if the current start continues.

O'Hara said: "We are a very weak team, we are the weakest team in the Premier League, and we will be relegated."

He added: "I look at the other teams and feel that everyone is better than us at the moment. I look at the teams in the bottom three, and it seems they really are the bottom three teams."

The club's spending has been criticized, with the statement: "We spent £400 million to move away from the danger zone, and we are still in it."

O'Hara's comments come at a time when pressure is increasing around manager Roberto De Zerbi due to the team's difficult start, despite the Italian coach remaining in his position for now according to reports.

However, talk of relegation remains premature at this early stage of the season, while Tottenham will need to improve their results and performance in the upcoming rounds to avoid the continuation of their troubled start and the widening of the crisis.
