Michael Carrick, the manager of Manchester United, confirmed that his team deserved to secure victory against Fulham after the match ended in a 1-1 draw in the Premier League.

Michael Carrick stated in remarks to the BBC: "I think we did enough to win the match. I believe we were capable of securing the victory. The own goal was unfortunate, but we were good for most of the game."

He added: "Their goalkeeper made some great saves, and on another day we could have scored two or three goals. I was happy with the way we responded, the players kept their faith and continued to do the right things. I think getting a point is the least we should have taken from the match."

Regarding Fulham's goal, Manchester United's manager explained: "I think there may have been a foul against Matheus Cunha first, and there is support for this opinion. The shot went through one of the players, and everything happened very quickly. There were several moments like this that went against us, but fortunately, we managed to at least get something small from the match."

Regarding the pressures and criticisms surrounding Manchester United, Carrick said: "No, what bothers me is that we want better results. We want more points."

He added: "There will be a period where things do not go as we want, and we have gone through a period of this kind, where some small details led to big issues. We do not believe for a moment that everything is perfect."

Michael Carrick concluded his statements by saying: "We need to win football matches. Our fans were fantastic again today, and we have to give them something to keep cheering for."
