40,000 fans at Egypt vs Angola match

Security authorities have approved the attendance of 40,000 fans for the upcoming match between the Egyptian national team and Angola. This anticipated clash marks the Pharaohs' opening match in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will be hosted at Cairo International Stadium at 10 PM on Friday, September 25.

Egypt's football association officials had requested the attendance of 50,000 fans for the national team's match, before it was approved for 40,000 fans.

Egypt will face Angola next Friday, September 25, at 10 PM Cairo and Mecca time in the first round of the 2026-2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Egypt's national team is in Group B of the qualifiers alongside Malawi, Angola, and South Sudan.
