Harit before Marseille and Paris classic: we are not in the same category
Amine Harit expressed his happiness at facing Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday evening in the final match of the fifth round of Ligue 1, but he spoke candidly about the significant gap between the two teams, considering that Paris clearly outperforms Marseille at this time.
Amine Harit has stated in remarks to the "Téléfoot" program: "Facing Paris is the best match of the season for many. We are playing against the UEFA Champions League champion for two consecutive years, and for me, it is the best team in the world for the past two years. We are not playing in the same category; Paris is already superior to us."
Despite discussing the difference between the two teams, the Marseille player stressed that the match remains open throughout 90 minutes, adding: "In the end, it's a match, 90 minutes, 11 human players against 11 players. We will do everything we can to deliver the best possible match."
Amine Harit carries bad memories from the last meeting between the two teams at the Stade Vélodrome, after being sent off in the 20th minute during the match in October 2024, following a challenge on Marquinhos, before Marseille lost the game by three goals. Regarding that encounter, the Moroccan player joked: "Clearly, I want to finish it better this time."
