Vitor Pereira enters Al Ahly's plans to replace Boszic

Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira has entered the frame to take over at Al Ahly FC if the club decides to part ways with Dutchman Marino Pusic due to the team's recent poor results.

Italian journalist Gianluca Longari reported that the management of Al Ahly FC is seriously studying the future of Bousset, with the possibility of his departure, noting that Pereira is among the names being considered to succeed him.

This setback coincided with Al Ahly FC's loss to Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa by a score of 2-1 in the Confederations Cup, halting the Saudi team's progress in the competition.

Al Ahly FC have experienced fluctuating results since Bosic took over last summer, succeeding the German Matthias Jaissle. They have achieved 3 victories and suffered 3 defeats during the first 7 rounds of the Saudi Pro League.

Vitor Pereira has previous experience with Al Ahly FC, having led the team during the 2013-2014 season, before taking on other roles with Saudi clubs, most notably Al Shabab.
