El Ghandour sends touching message to Ramadan Sobhi

Khaled El Ghandour has sent an emotional message to Ramadan Sobhi via his personal Facebook account following the player's recent crisis. He expressed his hopes for Ramadan to find success and to overcome the difficult period he is currently experiencing.

Khaled El Ghandour posted on his official Facebook account: "I am very sad for Ramadan Sobhi, and I don't know if he will be able to return after four years and be 32 years old? I wish him success, and may God strengthen him and help him through this difficult test."

The Swiss Federal Court has rejected the appeal submitted by Ramadan Sobhi against the penalty imposed on him in the doping case, meaning his suspension will continue for 4 years, according to media reports. This implies that he will remain absent from the pitch until 2029.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport issued a ruling in November 2025 to suspend Ramadan Sobhi for four years due to manipulation of a doping sample, a decision against which the player filed an appeal last June in an effort to reduce the penalty.
