AS FAR Rabat lose Joel Beya against Raja due to injury
AS FAR Rabat has received another blow ahead of their anticipated clash against Raja Casablanca, as it has been confirmed that their Congolese forward Joel Beya will miss the match due to an injury that has kept him out of the team's plans during this period.
Reports have revealed that Joël Biyé has undergone knee surgery and is currently continuing his rehabilitation program to regain his physical fitness.
The source clarified that the recovery period for the Congolese striker could extend between two to three months before he is able to return fully to group training, which means he will be absent from AS FAR Rabat's plans during the first half of the professional league.
The National Professional Football League decided last Friday to postpone the 'Clasico' match that was set to bring together AS FAR Rabat and Raja CA to a date to be determined later.
The decision to postpone the match was made at the official request of AS FAR Rabat, due to the absence of four key players from the team, after they were called up to represent their national teams during the international break sanctioned by FIFA.
The list of summoned players includes Ahmed Reda Tagnouti, Ugandan Allan Okello, Guinean Falo Mendy, and Congolese Merfil Ndongkit.
