Fermín makes touching gesture to his grandmother after win against Sevilla
Fermín López regained his place in FC Barcelona's starting lineup during the match against Sevilla, contributing to the team's 3-1 victory, allowing Barcelona to continue their perfect start to the season.
Fermín López was excited to play at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, especially with his grandmother Loli in the stands to support him, as she made the journey from the player's family home in El Campillo to Seville, which takes just over an hour by car, to watch her grandson.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Fermín López has always referred to his grandmother as one of the people who helped him reach the professional world, and therefore he made sure to approach her after the match to spend a touching moment together.
Fermín López asked a security official at the Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, "Can you let my grandmother through?" before embracing her in a scene that reflected the strength of their bond.
Fermín López's happiness did not stop at this match, as he will benefit from the international break to return to the Spanish national team, after Luis de la Fuente called him up to participate in the UEFA Nations League matches, marking his return to the team after missing the FIFA World Cup due to injury.
