Fermín López: Raphinha surprises us, and this is what the coach asks of us
Fermín López, the midfielder for FC Barcelona, has praised the strong start his Brazilian teammate Raphinha is having, as he continued to shine for the team during the match against Sevilla in LaLiga.
Fermín López was one of FC Barcelona's standout players during the match at the Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, where he spoke after the game about the team's performance and Raphinha, who scored a hat-trick to become the top scorer in LaLiga with 12 goals in seven matches.
Fermín López said: "Our goal was to reach the international break at the top with a perfect record, and we are very happy. What the coach asks of us is to press after losing the ball, and we all move together. We are happy with the work we are doing."
He added about Raphinha and his role in the striker position: "Raphinha surprises us a little because he hasn't played before in the number 9 striker position. He is very good and can adapt to any position in the front line. We pass him the balls, and he puts them in the net."
Speaking about his return to the Spanish national team after missing the FIFA World Cup due to injury, Fermín López said: "I am very happy to be back with the national team, it was very difficult not to participate in the FIFA World Cup, I started the season well, and I am happy to be back with the national team."
