Nainggolan reveals details of his departure from AS Roma: Monchi was negotiating to sell me

Belgian Radja Nainggolan, former player of AS Roma and Inter, revealed the details of his departure from the Giallorossi, confirming that the decision to sell him was made by former sporting director Monchi, despite the latter continuing to seek his opinion on the club's movements in the transfer market.

Radja Nainggolan spoke about his departure from AS Roma: "It was Monchi's decision, who was playing both sides; he was asking for my advice regarding the transfer market while simultaneously negotiating my sale," explaining that what happened left him with a negative impression of how his departure was handled.

Radja Nainggolan later moved to Inter, but he confirmed that Luciano Spalletti's departure affected his situation within the team, after Antonio Conte took over responsibility, quickly informing him that he was not part of his plans for the new season.

The Belgian player added: "At Inter, I paid the price for Spalletti's departure; Conte told me right away that I was not part of his plans," in a conversation that reopened discussions about one of the key stages of his career between AS Roma and Inter.
