Gasperini ahead of Inter clash: It's time to measure Roma's abilities
Gian Piero Gasperini, the Italian manager of AS Roma, spoke about the upcoming clash against Inter, stating that his team deserves to face them while sitting at the top of the Serie A table after a perfect start with four consecutive wins.
Gasperini spoke about the possibility of discussing competition for the league title: "You cannot raise the ceiling of ambitions by setting achievable or unachievable goals, but by improving every day and working on ourselves and trying to deliver the best each time." He added: "We can talk about goals after about 20 matches, but defining them after four or five rounds makes no sense."
Regarding the match against Inter, AS Roma's coach explained: "I think we deserve the chance to face Inter while we are at the top of the table, as well as facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. These matches will be a moment to measure ourselves and see what we can do against these teams."
Gasperini praised the development shown by his team, highlighting the unity between the players, fans, and club as one of AS Roma's key strengths at present. He also spoke positively about the duo Paulo Dybala and Donyell Malen, confirming that their characteristics complement each other well within the team.
