Milan renews faith in Amorim despite Benfica disappointment

According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', AC Milan are not considering parting ways with Amorim after just five matches, as confidence remains in the project initiated by the coach during the summer.

Club owner Gerry Cardinale has chosen Amorim to lead the team's rebuilding process, supporting him with a strong transfer market to form a more possession-oriented and aggressive side capable of imposing his style in matches.

Despite ongoing support, AC Milan's management sees the team needs a quick change in direction, starting with the match against Lecce on Sunday in Serie A. The team is preparing for a very busy period, as they will play nine matches between the international breaks in October and November, including five away games, making it essential to achieve positive results to avoid mounting pressure.

Amorim is addressing the shortcomings that emerged against Benfica, particularly in terms of collective performance and enthusiasm and effectiveness. The coach is looking to restore balance and calm within the team, with Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic returning to the starting lineup, after the latter expressed his frustration over a lack of playing time.
