"Dhiban".. the official mascot of Gulf Cup 27

The local organizing committee for the Arabian Gulf Cup 'Gulf 27' has revealed 'Dhiban', the official mascot for the tournament taking place in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6, 2026.

The committee drew inspiration for the character 'Dhiban' from the Arabian wolf, one of the endangered animals associated with the Saudi Arabian environment, and it represents symbols of bravery, intelligence, and strength in Gulf heritage.

The design of the mascot aims to make 'Dhiban' a companion for fans and a welcoming face for the tournament in Jeddah, with his anticipated presence in the stadiums and accompanying events throughout the Gulf Cup 27.

The character of 'Dhiban' reflects the values of generosity and hospitality that are characteristic of Saudi Arabian society, alongside the historical and social ties that unite the peoples of the Gulf countries, enhancing the interactive aspect of the tournament.

Gulf Cup 27 features eight teams divided into two groups; the first group includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait, while the second group gathers Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Yemen.

The 15th edition of the tournament will take place at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium, marking Jeddah's first hosting of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
