Reports have revealed that Spanish forward Carlos Espí was offered to FC Barcelona recently, but the Catalan club's management decided not to complete the deal.

According to the radio station 'Carrusel', FC Barcelona did not want to pay €25 million to sign Carlos Espí, especially since the player would not have received guarantees regarding a starting position with the team.

FC Barcelona's management sees the striker position in the team as already covered, with Egyptian Hamza Abdelkarim being one of the available options for that role. This has led the club to backtrack on the idea of signing Carlos Espí, despite his name being brought up during negotiations.

Thus, FC Barcelona have preferred not to enter into a €25 million deal for a player who does not guarantee them a key role, relying instead on the options available within their squad.
